Neshaminy Schools, Teachers Reach Contract Agreement
The tentative deal, announced early Wednesday, must now get official approval from the school board and teachers union members.
LANGHORNE, PA — The Neshaminy School District and the union representing the district's teachers have reached a tentative deal on a collective bargaining agreement.
The school district, which covers much of the Levittown area, announced the deal early Wednesday morning.
The five-year deal would be in effect from the current 2019-20 school year through the 2023-24 school year.

The district's school board and the Neshaminy Federation of Teachers will both meet to ratify the tentative agreement in the coming weeks. Details, according to the school district, will be presented to the public prior to a vote by the school board.
"The Board and NFT would like to thank those involved in the bargaining process for their time, effort and energy in developing a fair and fiscally responsible contract," district spokesperson Chris Stanley said in a written statement.

If approved by both sides, the deal would put to an end years of sometimes bitter wrangling between the district and the teacher's union over the contract, which covers teacher pay, benefits, working conditions and the like.
