Paving Planned In Middletown Twp. This Week

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —Paving is planned on several roads in the township this week.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that the paving is under a $14.9 million project to upgrade stormwater management facilities on more than 90 state highways across the five-county Philadelphia region.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

• Monday, Aug. 12, through Friday, Aug. 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a lane closure will be in place on Route 213 (Maple Avenue/Old Lincoln Highway) between Wheeler Way and Woodbourne Road.
• Monday, Aug. 12, through Friday, Aug. 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a lane closure will be in place on Highland Avenue between Avenue F and Hulmeville Road.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

The schedule is weather-dependent.

Highway Materials, Inc. of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
