UPDATE: Two in Custody After Gun Shop Burglary, Standoff: Police

Two suspects involved in an alleged gun shop robbery and subsequent standoff are in custody, police said Monday afternoon. The suspects, who will be charged, are in custody after an hours long police and SWAT team effort.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, there was a burglary followed by a standoff at Mike’s Gun Shop on the Levittown Parkway early Monday morning.

As a result, Pennsbury schools had a delayed opening. The school district announced due to “serious” police action in the Levittown area, all Pennsbury schools have a two-hour delay.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but the safety of our students and staff is of utmost importance,” the district said.

The Bucks County Courier Times reported that the Levittown Parkway between Rt. 13 and Mill Creek Parkway was closed for a portion of the morning.
