Police Warn Of Idling Cars Getting Stolen

It’s getting cold outside and you may be tempted to leave your car running in the driveway to warm it up before heading out in the morning.

But if you do, be sure to lock it.

Police in Lower Makefield are warning residents after two idling vehicles were reported stolen over the weekend.

According to police, between 6 and 7 a.m. on Sunday morning, two cars were stolen from a residence off Big Oak Road in the Valleywood section of Lower Makefield Township.

The cars were unlocked and idling in the driveway at the time they were stolen, police said.
