Retired Teacher Dies After Motorcycle-Bike Crash In Falls
She was taken off of a ventilator after suffering critical injuries in the crash last Wednesday, police said.
FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — A retired teacher from Falls Township has died from injuries she sustained when the bicycle she was riding was hit by a motorcycle last week.
Patricia Harman, 70, was taken off of a ventilator and died on Thursday, Falls Township Police announced Monday afternoon.
The day before, at 6:15 p.m., Harman was riding her bicycle in the area of Spirit Financial Credit Union, at 8535 New Falls Rd.

Police say she was traveling westbound on the right hand shoulder when she began to cross over New Falls Road. When she did, she was hit by the motorcycle, which was traveling in the westbound lane.
The motorcycle rider, Ryan M. Pfaff, 27, of Fairless Hills, has been released from St. Mary Hospital and is recovering from his injuries, police said.

According to her obituary, Harman was born and raised in Hamilton Township, N.J. She graduated from Hamilton High School West and Trenton State College (now TCNJ). She was a business teacher for years in Hamilton, also teaching at Mercer County Community College.
There will be visitation from 8-10 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, at Molden Funer Chapel & Cremation Service, at 133 Otter St. in Bristol. A funeral ceremony is set for 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with internment following at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Women's Animal Center or the Delaware Valley Vietnam Veterans.
