Route 1 Bridge Construction Will Cause Delays Monday

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Bridge construction is scheduled on Monday in Middletown and Bensalem townships as part of the Route 1 improvement Project, PennDOT said.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said the work takes place on southbound Route 1.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area. All scheduled activities are weather dependent and subject to change.

PennDOT is reconstructing and widening U.S. 1, improving the interchanges, and constructing new bridges from the Turnpike Interchange in Bensalem Township to north of the Penndel/Business U.S. 1 in Middletown Township under the $116 million Section RC2 contract.
