Shooting Suspect In Bristol Twp. In Custody
Jason Edward Gater was sent to prison Saturday with no bail in the shooting of a woman last week in Bristol Township.
BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —The suspect wanted in the shooting of a 33-year-old woman last Tuesday around Norton Avenue was taken into custody on Saturday, police said.
Jason Edward Gater, 47, was arrested and arraigned by members of the Bristol Township Police Department on Saturday. District Justice Mark Duple remanded him to the Bucks County Prison in place of bail, police said.
Police had obtained an arrest warrant for Gater in the shooting incident. He was considered armed and dangerous.

Police have charged Gater with aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, not being allowed to possess a weapon, simple assault, not allowed to carry a firearm without a license, recklessly endangering another person, and criminal trespass for entering a structure.
The shooting happened at 10:42 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Norton Avenue and Watson Avenue.

Police said an anonymous woman called 911 and reported a female gunshot victim.
Police said the woman was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center where she was listed in stable condition.
