Social Media Threat Has Pennsbury High Going Virtual Friday
Pennsbury school officials sent an email to parents overnight after receiving tips about the threat against the high school.

FALLSINGTON, PA —Pennsbury High School will have a virtual day Friday after school officials received a social media threat against the high school.
In an email sent overnight from Schools Superintendent Thomas A. Smith and High School Campus Principal Reggie Meadows, school administration at 11 p.m. Thursday received several Safe2Say tips showing a screenshot from social media alleging a threat against the high school on Friday.
School officials said the Falls Township Police Department was notified and is investigating the source of the threat.

The school district is taking precautionary measures by having no live instruction all day Friday for high school students and staff on Friday.
Assignments for the high school virtual day are expected to be posted in Canvas by noon.

School officials sent out the email and posted it on Pennsbury social media as of 12:15 a.m. Friday with a confirmation call and text sent out at 5:45 a.m.
"As always, we are grateful for our partnerships with our local police departments. We truly
appreciate their swift action in this case and their efforts to ensure our students and staff are safe," school officials said.
Earlier this week, a student got into an altercation with a police officer at Pennsbury High School West. The altercation led to a temporary lockdownof the high school.
