Social Media Threat Prompts Neshaminy High At-Home Day
Neshaminy school officials sent an email to parents after receiving tips about the threat against the high school Friday.

LANGHORNE, PA —Neshaminy High School will have an at-home virtual day Friday after school officials received reports on social media about threats against the high school.
School officials said that throughout Thursday evening, they received several Safe2Say tips and direct emails containing screenshots from social media alleging a threat against the high school Friday.
Middletown Township Police have received all screenshots that we have received and are investigating the sources of the alleged threat, school officials said.

The Pennsbury School District is taking the same precaution with a virtual day at Pennsbury High School Friday after receiving similar threats.
Neshaminy High School will have an at-home asynchronous instruction day, meaning no live classes or Zoom calls. Assignments will be posted in Canvas by 9 a.m., school officials said.

"Thank you to our students, parents, and staff for providing tips and ongoing information as we work with Middletown Township Police to keep our schools safe," school officials said.
The social media threat comes after the high school was evacuated for two straight days because of a bomb threat. Authorities conducted searches but did not find anything and in the first incident, two students were taken into custody.
