Teacher Spotlight: Levittown Special Education Teacher Gives It All

LEVITTOWN, PA —Great teachers matter. In Levittown, we’re fortunate to have teachers like Diane Hayden.

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Diane gives it her all. She works hard beside teaching the lessons to her 6, 7, and 8-grade special education and emotional students, she guides them with solving problems, techniques on conflict solving, compassion, supplies snacks and supplies to her special students, and most of all listens to their troubles. She is trusted by her students.

She also goes above and beyond by running the after-school YMCA program while teaching the students simple cooking techniques and nutrition. During the summer, she teaches the younger students K, 1, and 2 with emotional and autism summer programs to keep them engaged throughout school off months.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

Compassionate, loving, and gives it her all.
