Three Charged In Levittown Pizza Place Robbery: District Attorney

Both robbers' mother and one robber's girlfriend have been charged in connection with the robbery, authorities said.

Three people, including one of the robbers who was shot, have been charged in the Nov. 15 robbery of Porfirio’s Pizza and Pasta II in Levittown that left one robber dead after a customer shot both robbers, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.

Justin Rose, 22, of Levittown, has been charged with felony robbery with threats to immediate serious bodily injury; felony criminal conspiracy to commit robbery with threats to immediate serious bodily injury; tow counts of simple assault; and two counts of recklessly endangering another person, court records show.

The robbers’ mother, Robin Lynn Soto, 52, of Levittown and Justin Rose’s girlfriend, Chasidy Demi Ramos, 25, of Bristol, were both charged with felony criminal conspiracy to commit robbery with threats to immediate serious bodily injury and felony robbery with threats to immediate serious bodily injury, according to court records and the DA's office.

Soto and Ramos were arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Joseph P. Falcone Nov. 22 and both were remanded to the Bucks County Jail in lieu of $2 million bail, court records show. Rose will be processed after his release from the hospital, the DA's office said.

Soto and Ramos are scheduled to appear before Magisterial District Judge Daniel Baranoski on Nov. 30 for their preliminary hearings.

The charges stem from the Nov. 15 incident that left Shawn Rose, 24, of Levittown, dead after a customer opened fire on Shawn and Justin Rose. Justin Rose was shot twice and is still hospitalized for his injuries.

Bucks County District Attorney Matthew D. Weintraub said last week that no charges would be brought against the customer, who acted in self-defense after Shawn Rose had threatened and pistol-whipped him.

Police said that Soto and Ramos allegedly entered the pizzeria minutes before the robbery to determine how many workers and customers were inside. Soto asked Porfirio’s co-owner what time the business would close, and the women then stepped outside, according to the DA's office.

Knowing that the Rose brothers intended to rob the business, the women informed them that there were three people inside, the DA's office said. During the robbery, Justin Rose remained in phone communication with Soto and Ramos, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Several hours after the robbery, Soto and Ramos went to the Middletown Township Police Department seeking information about the condition of Shawn and Justin Rose, the DA's office said. At that time, the co-owner of Porfirio’s identified them as the women who had entered his business just before the robbery, according to the DA's office.

Middletown Township police and Bucks County detectives investigated the case, which will be prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Lindsay Vaughan.
