Woman Critical After Bristol Stabbing

A 27-year-old man was arrested and charged with stabbing her after police say they found him nearby with a cut on his hand.

BRISTOL BOROUGH, PA — Police in Bristol Borough have arrested a 27-year-old man they say stabbed a woman over the weekend, putting her in critical condition.

At 5:50 a.m. on Saturday, Bristol Borough Police were called to a report of a stabbing in the 700 block of Corson Street. There, they found a 41-year-old woman who had been stabbed in the abdomen.

After a search, police say, an officer found Dennis Chirskoy, 27, of Levittown, in the street near the apartment. Chirskoy was bleeding, with a knife injury to the hand, according to police.

He was taken into custody and charged with the woman's stabbing.

The woman was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition over the weekend. Chirskoy was treated for his wound at Lower Bucks Hospital.

Over the weekend, police were investigating to learn the relationship between Chirskoy and the woman and what led to the stabbing.
