• Mifflin County measles cases climb to 106 (lewistownsentinel.com) — Mifflin County's measles outbreak has reached 106 confirmed cases, second only to Lancaster County in Pennsylvania, with four local cases added since Friday and one recent death of an unvaccinated 18-year-old resident. • Earl Weaver Jr. fills vacant supervisor seat (lewistownsentinel.com) — Granville Township has filled one of its vacant supervisor seats, with longtime township employee and volunteer Earl "Pete" Weaver Jr. appointed by the Court of Common Pleas to serve until the next municipal election. Residents interested in the remaining vacancy must have lived in Granville Township for at least a year and submit a letter and résumé to the Helen Street office in Lewistown by Sept. 30.
