SCHWENKSVILLE, PA — Contributions came in from nearly 3,000 donors to support the Lukens family in the wake of Wednesday's tragic fire in Montgomery County, which claimed the lives of two young boys.
The fire occurred in the early morning hours Wednesday at the home of the family of Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputy Bryan Lukens. Lukens' sons, Bryan Jr., 11, and Parker, 4, were both killed. Dep. Lukens, his wife Tracy, and their daughter Soffia were injured but survived.
Tracy and Soffia were treated and released from Pottstown Hospital on Wednesday afternoon. Dep. Lukens remained in the burn unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital in unknown condition. But according to updates posted to the GoFundMe campaign by family friends, Dep. Lukens is expected to recover.

It's not yet clear what caused the fire, or where it started. The powerful blaze swept through the house, and crews from several surrounding municipalities were on the scene for hours in their attempts to quell it.
The Pennsylvania State Police's Skippack barracks is investigating the blaze.
The campaign had an original goal of $10,000, which was met almost immediately. A goal of $250,00 has now been set, but Kyle Boelter, the family friend who established the fundraiser, said they do not want to set a cap for donations.
"We'll see where we end up to help support this family who has given so much of themselves to their community and their country," he wrote.
