Limerick Officer Aids In Capture Of Man Wanted For Detroit Triple Homicide: Cops
A traffic stop by a Limerick cop led to information that ultimately led to the arrest of a man wanted for a triple homicide in Detroit.

LIMERICK, PA -- A Limerick police officer's attention to detail helped put a man behind bars who was wanted in connection with a triple homicide in Detroit.
Limerick's Officer Steven Winneberger was on patrol on Feb. 8 when he saw a vehicle with unusual damage and an out-of-state license plate, police said.
He ran the registration and discovered that the vehicle was wanted in connection with the triple homicide that took place on Detroit's east side on Feb. 4, according to authorities.

Only one person was in the vehicle - a woman - who was later charged in Detroit in connection with the murders, police said.
But the bigger story was that her arrest led to the arrest of Russell Govett, 38, who had fled to Cape May, New Jersey. Govett was arrested without incident by local authorities on Feb. 17.
