New Owners Take Over At Site Of Lebow's Furniture In Royersford

"Several new businesses" are on the way to downtown Royersford in the wake of the closing of the sale, officials said.

ROYERSFORD, PA — New ownership has officially taken over at the former site of Lebow's Furniture in downtown Royersford, marking another milestone in the ongoing revitalization of the area.

While the new owners and specific plans for the future of the building have not yet been made public, officials said that "several new businesses" are on the way.

The closing of Lebow's was completed Wednesday morning. The building dates to the post-World War II era, when veteran Chuck Lebow and his wife, Adele, purchased a furniture business and put their own touch on it.

The annex was added shortly thereafter. New owners will take over the spaces from 330 through 338 Main Street.

This comes in the wake of a June announcement that a large riverfront property had been purchased by Lewis Group. The project was described as a "game-changer" for the borough at the time, and organizers said that they plan to develop significant residential and commercial properties there.
