Spring-Ford Area High School Hosts NOPE Task Force Presentation

Spring-Ford Area High School is hosting a Montgomery County NOPE (Narcotics Overdose Prevention and Education) Task Force student presentation in an effort of prevention and intervention of drug and/or alcohol abuse. A student presentation will take place during the school day on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Spring-Ford Area High School. There will also be a parent and community forum also taking place Tuesday, April 21, 2015 starting at 7 p.m. in the Spring-Ford Area High School auditorium.

More about NOPE: NOPE Task Force is a 501c-3 nonprofit organization formed in 2004. NOPE’s mission is to diminish the frequency and impact of overdose death through community education, family support and purposeful advocacy. Since its inception, NOPE has been increasing awareness through multimedia and multimodal presentations. A few initiatives that NOPE Task Force provides to communities include:
• Prevention Presentations in Middle and High Schools
• Parent and Community Educational Forums
• University Education Forums
• Awareness Campaigns (including the Annual National Candle Light Vigil)
• Support Groups (for family members who have lost loved ones to drug related incidents)
