Spring-Ford HS Siblings Launch Nonprofit For Healthy Lifestyles

ROYERSFORD, PA — A brother and sister team currently attending Spring-Ford are making a big impact with their own nonprofit organization.
Deepak and Anjali Kejariwal have launched Sweatshirts to Scrubs, which aims to teach young children about healthy living, medicine, and related topics.
"In our program, we talk to children about how to have a healthy lifestyle, teach them more about their body and its systems, and talk to them about current breakthroughs in medicine," Deepak said.

The program utilizes various interactive methods, ranging from arts and crafts to games, videos, and experiments, to teach students. It's aimed at children between the ages of seven and 11, and but there is no strict limit.
Both Anjali and Deepak hope to one day study and practice medicine. Anjali said that she felt something special the first time she sprained her ankle, and has been inspired since then.

"While the doctors were taking my x-rays and trying to figure out what was wrong with my foot, I thought it was the coolest thing in the world," she said.
The siblings are running the program through several local public libraries, including Royersford, Phoenixville, and Lower Providence.
