Our residents live well, engaged with the wider world and confident they will have support should they need it. <br /><br />Located on two campuses, Friends Village provides independent living and personal care in peaceful settings embedded in residential neighborhoods.  Our Paxson Campus is in the heart of Newtown Borough, close to shops, dining and local events. Our Styer Campus, on Lower Dolington Road, boasts raised-bed gardens and walking paths for resident enjoyment. The full calendar of resident-informed programming features lectures, wellness classes, discussion groups and cultural events to promote residents’ intellectual, physical and social well-being.  <br /><br />If needed, Friends Village provides our residents with flexible, affordable support in their own apartments through its NeighborCare program. By using our long-tenured and dedicated staff, it is a home care service without the onerous minimum hours or uncertain staffing of agencies. And if care needs increase further, personal care is available in our historic Paxson Hall. <br /><br />What truly sets Friends Village apart is the warm sense of community. <p>Glencairn Museum’s galleries are open for exploration! Join us this spring on the third Thursday of April, May, and June for three opportunities to wander, discover, and enjoy the collection above and below the first floor. From 4:00–7:00 pm, visitors can self-guide through spaces usually seen on guided tours, as well as some spaces that are often unseen! Staff will be on hand to answer your questions and help you find your way. Complimentary tea and coffee will be available on the first floor.</p>
<p><i>Please note that the historic elevator will be available for accessibility only, and the Tower will not be available. </i></p>
