Children's Scholarship Fund Philadelphia (CSFP)

Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia (CSFP) changes lives by providing scholarship funding for Philadelphia families to choose a tuition-based school that meets their student’s educational needs. CSFP is the largest and most diverse provider of K-8th scholarship support in Pennsylvania, focusing on the highest-need students in the lowest-achieving schools in the city. During the 2025-26 school year, CSFP awarded more than 6,800 scholarships for K-8th grade students enrolled at nearly 150 area tuition-based schools. Name: Kevyn DeWees Age:  11 School: Bryn Athyn Church School Kevyn has been playing violin for three years and has played in the Youth Orchestra of Bucks County for two years. This is her second year in the Concertino ensemble after starting in the Prima Strings ensemble. "I like being in an orchestra," she said. "It's fun to play this music instead of working on scales all the time." She's looking forward to the YOBC Fall Concert, especially playing her favorite song. "I like Molly On The Shore," she said. "It's fast and it sounds really happy."
