52 Arrested in 'Operation Sweetheart' Sweep of Bucks County
The Bucks County Sheriff's Office as well as police from Bristol and Bensalem townships conducted an 'Operation Sweetheart' sweep Thursday.

The Bucks County Sheriff’s Office as well as police from Bristol Township and Bensalem Township Police Departments conducted an “Operation Sweetheart” sweep Thursday, apprehending 52 subjects in Bucks County.
Armed with Criminal Bench Warrants and Domestic Relations Bench Warrants, deputies and officers fanned out in Bensalem and Bristol Townships, according to information from the Sheriff’s office.
The Sheriff’s Departent said it apprehended 16 subjects wanted on Domestic Relations Warrants, owing a total of $237,040.09 in back child support. Plus, 33 subjects were apprehended on Criminal Bench Warrants. Bristol and Bensalem Police apprehended three subjects wanted on local charges.

“This is a continued and cooperative effort between the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office and local Police Departments” said Bucks County Sheriff Edward “Duke” Donnelly. “These types of concentrated sweeps will continue throughout the County in cooperation with local law enforcement agencies. It is a win-win situation for the Citizens of Bucks County” Donnelly said.
“I would like to thank both Bristol Twp Police and Bensalem Twp Police for their cooperation today that made this sweep a huge success. As I said before, if you have a warrant for your arrest, turn yourself in. We will not stop looking for you and will be knocking on your door soon,” Donnelly said.
