The incident occurred at around 6:40 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19 in a Bensalem apartment that Henneghan and the victim – who was then working for Henneghan as a door-to-door sales trainee – were sharing with another co-worker.

Henneghan had allegedly punched her in the head and choked her, and then held a steak knife on her while forcing her to perform sexual acts, police said.

After Henneghan fell asleep, the victim texted 911 and stated that she had been sexually assaulted and was behind held at knife-point in the room, according to authorities.

Police tracked her text using the GPS on her phone, and found her and Henneghan in the apartment.

Henneghan was then taken into custody.

Deputy District Attorney Kristin M. McElroy read a statement from the victim aloud in court Monday.

"I just want to start by letting the judge and the court know that I am all right," the statement read. "I want the judge to know that Chris is a lost young man who repeatedly stated that he wanted to go back to jail... He preferred to be back in prison because he felt as though the outside world was just too much."

The case was investigated by the Bensalem Township Police Department.
