HEALTHLINK'S EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR RE-CREDENTIALED AS CERTIFIED FUND RAISING EXECUTIVE

CFRE International has again certified Mae O’Brien as a Certified Fund Raising
Executive (CFRE). Mae O’Brien, Executive Director of HealthLink Medical Center, joins over
5,300 professionals around the world who hold the CFRE designation.
Individuals granted the CFRE credential have met a series of standards set by CFRE International which include tenure in the profession, education, demonstrated fundraising achievement, and a commitment to service to not-for-profit organizations. They have also passed a rigorous written examination testing the knowledge, skills, and abilities required of a fundraising executive, and have agreed to uphold Accountability Standards and the Donor Bill of Rights.
“The CFRE credential was created to identify for the public and employers those individuals who possess the knowledge, skills, and commitment to perform fundraising duties in an effective and ethical manner,” states Jim Caldarola, Immediate Past Chair of CFRE International. “As the certification is a voluntary achievement, the CFRE credential demonstrates a high level of commitment on the part of Mae O’Brien to herself, the fundraising profession, and, the donors who are served.”

Serving an organization that is funded entirely by the charitable contributions of the community, this certification holds significant importance to HealthLink’s Executive Director. HealthLink, a free clinic for working, uninsured low-income adults living in Bucks and Montgomery counties. Primary medical care, dental care, lab work, and medication dispensing is all provided on-site at its location on Street Road in Southampton.
“HealthLink has become the ‘medical home’ for those in the community who may have otherwise fallen through the cracks,” says Mae O’Brien. “More than half of HealthLink’s patients suffer from chronic illnesses like diabetes. Without our clinic, these local hardworking adults would not have the means to manage their health. It’s for these members of the community that I make the commitment to continuing education in fundraising.”
