Mom Admits Gifting Her Child To Lower Southampton Man Who Impregnated Her Twice

The pair accused of gifting their children to a Lower Southampton man could face as much as seven years in prison and a fine of $15K.

The parents accused of gifting their daughters to a Lower Southampton man appeared in court Thursday, entering pleas on multiple charges, including endangering the welfare of children. Daniel and Savilla Stoltzfus, the parents of six children alleged to have been sexually assaulted by a 52-year-old man in his Feasterville home, entered the pleas before a hearing on pretrial motions the child-rape prosecution of Lee Kaplan.

According to authorities, Kaplan befriended the Lancaster County family and supported them financially. In return, it is alleged, the Stoltzfuses "gifted" Kaplan some of their nine daughters, who went to live with him in the house where the assaults allegedly occurred. Daniel Stoltzfus testified that he also also "gave" his wife to Kaplan, prosecutors say.

Savilla Stoltzfus, 43, pleaded guilty to one count of endangering the welfare of children, a felony of the third degree. Daniel Stoltzfus, 44, pleaded no contest to the same charge. Sentencing has been deferred until Kaplan's trial, which is set to start next month.

The pair could face as much as seven years in prison and a fine of $15,000.

Prosecutors allege Kaplan raped the Stoltzfuses' oldest daughter repeatedly over several years, impregnating her twice.

The situation was discovered in June after Lower Southampton police and Bucks County Children and Youth workers were called to check on the house due to concerns from neighbors.

Kaplan's trial starts May 30. He faces charges of child rape, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and indecent assault.
