Newtown's Troop 29 Elijah Brown Earns Rank of Eagle

Troop 29's Elijah Brown recently earned the highest advancement rank in scouting- that of Eagle Scout.

Troop 29’s Elijah Brown recently earned the highest advancement rank in scouting- that of Eagle Scout. The son of David and Martha Brown of Trevose, Elijah completed his Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project for the Middletown Grange.

Elijah and his team of scout volunteers painted the snack bar building at the fairgrounds in Wrightstown. The project included preparing the cinderblock and wooden structure by scraping old paint and clearing away brush along the foundation before the new paint could be applied.

Most recently, Elijah served Troop 29 as Senior Patrol Leader. The highlight of his tenure in that position was when his troop was awarded their 9th sabre for a first place finish in scouting-based activities at the Scoutmasters’ Council West Point Invitation Scout Camporee. Prior to that, Elijah was a Den Chief with Pack 19 for 4 years. Elijah also camped at Resica Falls, Gettysburg and Assateague National Seashore.

A senior at Agora Cyber Charter School, Elijah plans to study broadcasting after graduation. He is also an avid collector of vintage video gaming systems and games.
