Inaugural Bucks County Dragon Boat Festival to “Paddle Out Hunger” in September
New Hope, PA – Businesses, organizations and clubs from throughout the region are invited to take part in the inaugural Bucks County Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday, September 19, 2015 in Core Creek Park, Langhorne, PA.
This event, which is presented by the Bucks County Dragon Boat Association and sponsored by St. Mary Medical Center, promises a day of friendly competition, cultural demonstrations and family fun with the overarching goal of paddling out hunger in the region. All proceeds from the festival will benefit the Bucks County Housing Group’s Community Food Pantry Programs.
Each dragon boat team is comprised of up to 24 crew members and no prior dragon boat experience is necessary to participate in the festival. Registration fees include all equipment needed to race and one practice with a coach.
