RecruitmentQueen Partners with Bucks County Herald

Bucks County digital job board RecruitmentQueen.com, through a collaborative effort with the Bucks County Herald newspaper, is making sure job seekers have even more outlets to search for local jobs.

In addition to sharing job-related content on Recruitmentqueen’s Website as well as in the newspaper, the two plan to partner on a Bucks County career fair in January.

Karen Barton, Bucks County Herald’s advertising sales director, said she saw Recruitmentqueen CEO Jennifer Schultz at a recent career fair. Barton said she was “very impressed” and left knowing that working together would strengthen both brands.

“We brought the print component,” Barton said. “She has the online down. The two of us are stronger together than apart.”

For Schultz, partnering with a print outlet was important to reach people who look for jobs in a newspaper.

“Print media is still viable,” Schultz said. “We want to reach audiences where they’re at.”

Collaborating with a “super local” partner was important for Schultz, whose site features job openings in and around Bucks County.

On average, Recruitmentqueen.com receives 9,500 visits per month from job seekers, while the Bucks County Herald’s weekly readership is 161,000, according to the Scarborough survey. Of the Herald’s readers, 1 in 3 are interested in making a career change, according to the survey.

That data alone was enough to convince Bucks County Herald Publisher Joe Wingert that the newspaper needed to start showcasing job listings more readily.

“Between what Jennifer does and what we do, there’s a pretty good fit,” Wingert said, adding that the ability to package employment offerings online and in print is a definite win. “This is an opportunity for us to grow that part of our business.”
