Southampton Barrel Bandits Busted: Police
An officer on routine patrol recognized a van that had been featured in a police bulletin the day before, police said.

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON, PA — The case of the stolen brewery barrels has been solved, according to police.
In Lower Southampton, police say an officer on patrol Wednesday recognized a vehicle that had been shown in a police bulletin released less than 24 hours earlier.
Officer Gray Newman pulled over the van and, after a brief investigation, was given information about the location of the decorative barrels, which had been stolen from Moss Mill Brewing, on Pike Road in Feasterville.

Video shared by Lower Southampton Police showed what appeared to be two men drive up to the business with the trunk of a van or SUV open. They hopped out, loaded up two display barrels, then drove away.
The barrels were returned to the business owners, although one of them had been sawed in half, according to police. Additional arrest information will be released later, Lower Southampton Police said on Wednesday.
