Knife-Point Attempted Robbery Suspect Charged In Lower Southampton

Brandon Giulian was charged with the attempted robbery of Taco Bell Sunday, Lower Southampton police said. A Warrington K-9 dog assisted.

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —A man who tried to hold up a Taco Bell with a knife has been charged with attempted robbery in Sunday's incident, police said.

Brandon Giulian, 22, was charged after the Lower Southampton Township Police Department responded to the Taco Bell at 265 East Street Road for a report of a knife-point robbery at 9:15 p.m. Sunday.

A police K-9 named Jolie from the Warrington Township Police Department responded to assist with locating Giulian, who was last seen on foot toward the Bucks Crossing Shopping Center. The K-9 dog helped find the knife in a search.

During the investigation, an off-duty Abington Township police officer was at the Suburban Diner and reported watching a man wearing a green jacket stumble into the diner and sit down at a table.

The officer called police dispatch to report the incident.

The suspect was positively identified as the one who wielded the knife and attempted to rob Taco Bell. Police did not state Giulian's residence.

"We want to thank the K-9 team for their assistance with the search that resulted in the recovery of the knife, and the off-duty officer that chose to get involved and assisted our officers with this apprehension," Lower Southampton Township Police said.

The suspect was remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility on $150,000 bail.
