Come out and learn about our history and some interesting items along the way.Join us on Thursday, April 30th at 7pm at the West Goshen Township Building as we welcome Jim Christ (President of the Paoli Battlefield), to learn about all the battles of the Philadelphia Campaign of 1777. This talk will cover all the big battles, but also some of the smaller ones that you might not have heard of before. This presentation will also dismantle some of the myths that persist today and focus on what has been found about these battles. This presentation is FREE and open to the public. The West Goshen Township Building is located at 1025 Paoli Pike, West Chester, PA 19380. Jim also has books, tee shirts, and hats to help the Paoli Battlefield Preservation Fund (cash or credit accepted for these items).Jim Christ is President of the Paoli Battlefield Preservation Fund and has been on its board since 2012. Jim is an avid history buff and is also Vice President of the American Revolution Round Table of Philadelphia, Vice President of the Brandywine Valley Civil War Round Table, Board Member and docent of the Christian Sanderson Museum in Chadds Ford, Board Member of the Paoli Memorial Association, Treasurer of Historical Military Impressions, Inc, a non-profit military reenactment group that performs in several states, and a member of the Chester County 250th Committee. Jim works as Director of Client Services for Shelby Financial Corporation, in Exton Pennsylvania, and has an associate’s degree in business administration. Jim is married and lives on what was The Battle of The Clouds battlefield, a Revolutionary War battlefield in West Whiteland Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
