Main Line Synagogue Hosting Anti-Gerrymandering Meeting Feb 25

With gerrymandering of Pennsylvania's Congressional Districts a hot topic in the state at the moment, a Main Line synagogue is hosting an anti-gerrymandering information session aimed at teaching residents about how gerrymandering adversely affects democracy.

Fair Districts PA's Chester County chapter is hosting a community event from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25 in Congregation Or Shalom's Society Hall located at 835 Darby Paoli Road in Berwyn.

The state Supreme Court this week will make a decision on whether or not the current map violates the state's constitution.

At the event – which is titled "Make Your Vote Count: Understanding and Ending Gerrymandering in Pennsylvania" – Phoenixville business owner Chuck Yeiser will explain PA’s current redistricting process, demonstrate how it undermines democracy, and then offer a solution to the problem.
