Join us this Sunday, March 23rd at 11am at Congregation Beth El - Ner Tamid in Broomall, as we welcome author and political activist Rhonda Fink Whitman. Rhonda is passionate about insuring that every student receives Holocaust and Genocide education throughout the state of Pennsylvania. Rhonda is the director, producer and host of the Mandate Video, as well as the daughter of a Holocaust survivor. She will talk about her mother's experiences during the Holocaust and how this fueled her journey to become a prominent voice, issuing a call to action to develop and pass crucial legislation mandating vital and pertinent curriculum about the Holocaust and other genocides.
Rhonda Fink Whitman will speak promptly at 11am, so come to the Sanctuary early and get the best seats. At noon, join us for a free lunch in the Felinton, sponsored by The Trustees. At 1pm, stay for a panel discussion, moderated by Chuck Feldman, Director of the Holocaust Awareness Museum and featuring State Senator Anthony Williams, Sandra Schaal - Marple Newtown School District's Social Studies Director, Rhonda Fink Whitman, Jennifer Hoff - parent representative and CBENT's Religious School co-vice president, Rabbi Barry Blum and Arthur Newman - Philadelphia School District History teacher.
This event is free and open to the community! Invite your friends and neighbors. Parents with young children - if you'd like to stay for the panel discussion, activities and babysitting will be provided at no extra cost.
