Broomall Curler Taylor Anderson-Heide Goes 6-5 At 2026 Winter Olympics
While local curler Taylor Anderson-Heide and the U.S. Women's team did not secure a medal, they boasted a winning record in Italy.
BROOMALL, PA — Bromall's Olympic curler Taylor Anderson-Heide boasted a winning record at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, but unfortunately, she and her teammates were unable to secure a medal.
Anderson-Heide, Tabitha Peterson, Tara Peterson, Cory Thiesse, and Aileen Geving closed out the games with a 6-5 record.
The team was in the running for a bronze medal Saturday in a match against Canada. That game ended 10-7, with Canada securing the medal and leaving Team USA in fourth place in women's curling.

In the final matchup, Anderson-Heide had an 86 percent shot success, tied for the highest in the match with Canada's Sarah Wilkes.
Team USA defeated Korea (8-4), Canada (9-8), Japan (7-4), China (6-5), Denmark (10-3), and Switzerland (7-6). They lost to Sweden (9-4), Italy (7-2), Great Britain (8-7), Switzerland (7-4), and Canada (10-7).

Anderson-Heide, 30, is a Marple Newtown High School graduate who grew up curling with her twin sister, Sarah, and parents Wayne and Arlene Anderson. She honed her skills at the Philadelphia Curling Club in Paoli.
Her career highlights include gold medals at the U.S. Women's Championships in 2019, 2021, and 2021; gold at the 2025 U.S. Olympic trials; and silver at the 2016 World Junior Championships in Copenhagen with Sarah, among other silver and bronze medal placements.
She is a five-time national champion, twice in mixed doubles with Korey Dropkin in 2015 and 2018, twice in women’s curling on a team with Sarah in 2019 and 2021, and once in 2025 as the lead for the Peterson sisters, on a team with two-time Olympian Tabitha Peterson as skip.
Anderson-Heide lives in Minneapolis and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.
