Delco Armed Robber Charged For Rape, Kidnapping In Del: Reports

Kwesi Hudson, the Wilmington, Delaware man who robbed a Delaware County CVS at gunpoint and held employees hostage, is now accused of raping, kidnapping, and robbing people in Wilmington, according to reports.

Hudson, 47, was charged in connection with armed kidnappings, robberies, and a sexual assault at apartment complexes in Delaware, according to NBC10.

He was sentenced to a minimum of 20 years and 9 months to a maximum of 41 years and 6 months in state prison for the May 24, 2017 robbery of the CVS on Baltimore Pike in Media, during which he held two employees at gun point and stole $5,000 from the safe.

Hudson was found guilty by a jury during a trial May 30, 2018, and was convicted of two counts of robbery and two counts of false imprisonment. The jury took less than an hour to convict him of all charges, the DA's office said.

In Delaware, Hudson is facing 15 counts in connection with the incidents that occurred in 2017, Delaware Online reports.

Charges are first-degree kidnapping, two counts of first-degree robbery, first-degree assault, first-degree unlawful sexual contact, second-degree rape, second-degree attempted kidnapping, first-degree attempted robbery and several related charges.

According to Action News, the Delaware incidents date back to February 2017 when a woman at a Wilmington apartment complex was abducted by an armed, masked man, allegedly Hudson.

Days later, two similar incidents occurred, with Hudson being accused of both, Action News reports.
