Federal authorities put out a call for help finding Smith in late April 2021.

Brice was reported missing out of Upper Darby, then found dead near 58th Street and Lindbergh Boulevard in Southwest Philadelphia on April 5, 2021.

Brice was last seen leaving K Laundry, 544 Church Lane in Lansdowne, with her Smith at about 1 p.m. March 30.

Later that day, Smith's vehicle was found on fire near 59th and Florence streets in Philadelphia.

Brice's body was found with several gunshot wounds not far from where Smith's burned vehicle was found.

Tylydia Garnett, 23, of Philadelphia, was arrested in connection with Brice's death. She is charged with arson, abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence, possession of an instrument of crime, conspiracy, and criminal use of a communications facility.

Authorities said Garnett helped Smith after Brice was killed, saying she bought gasoline then took it to a garage that Smith used and was seen on video loading a heavy object, allegedly Brice's body, into her vehicle.

Authorities said she then followed Smith to where Brice's body was left, then followed him to where he set his vehicle on fire. The Philadelphia District Attorney's office said they believe Brice was shot and killed in Smith's vehicle.

Garnett is scheduled for a trial in May this year, court records show.
