Marple Bank Robbery Suspect Identified, Reward Offered: FBI

The FBI is working with Marple Police to bring in Michael Wheeler, who is accused of robbing a Wells Fargo Bank in Broomall on July 29.

MARPLE, PA — Police in Marple Township are working with the FBI and authorities in Delaware to bring in a man who is accused of robbing a Broomall bank, as well as several other bank in the region. The bank is offering a reward for information leading to his arrest.

According to the FBI, the man who robbed the Wells Fargo Bank on the 2700 block of West Chester Pike July 29 has been identified as Michael Wheeler.

Wheeler, 39, is wanted for three other bank robberies, according to authorities. He is accused of robbing banks in Middletown, Wilmington, and Felton Delaware. The Wilington robbery was also a Wells Fargo Bank.

Michael Wheeler, 39, is wanted for several bank robberies, the FBI said.

He is being investigated for another bank robbery in Haverford, a bank robbery in New Jersey, and a bank robbery in Maryland, as well, the FBI said.

Authorities said Wheeler is considered armed and dangerous.
