Man Tries To Rob Haverford Bank Monday: Police
Police said the man seen here tried to get money from a bank on West Chester Pike Monday afternoon.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — An attempted robbery at a bank in Haverford Township is under investigation and police are asking for assistance identifying the suspect.
According to Haverford Police, a man came into the Wells Fargo Bank 1120 West Chester Pike at about 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
The man gave the teller a note implying he had a weapon and demanding money, police said.

However, the teller refused to give the suspect money, according to police.
The suspect the left the area on foot without getting any money.

Police said witnesses saw the suspect get into a red Jeep that was behind a business located at Manoa Road and West Chester Pike.
Police described the suspect as a black male with a stocky build, standing about 5 feet 11 inches tall.
He was wearing a gray or white Bryce Harper Phillies shirt with the number 3 on it, dark shorts, and a white bucket hat. He also had a light colored satchel over his shoulder.
Police said this man could be the suspect who committed a similar bank robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank on West Chester Pike in Marple Township about 10 minutes after the robbery attempt in Haverford.
