Service Resumes On Media/Elwyn Line After Train, Car Crash

The Media/Elwyn line's service has resumed after SEPTA said a train and vehicle collided in Delaware County Monday morning.

LANSDOWNE, PA — Service has resumed on SEPTA's Media/Elwyn regional rail after a SEPTA train and vehicle collided Monday morning.

The incident occurred at Union Avenue in Lansdowne at about 9 a.m., SEPTA said.

According to SEPTA, no train passengers were hurt in the incident.

CBS Philadelphia reports the vehicle's driver was seriously injured.

According to the Delaware County Daily Times, the driver tried to get around the crossing gate as two trains were passing through.

Service was restored by 11:45 a.m., SEPTA said.
