NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department is looking to hire a new police officer and applications are being accepted now.

Applications and resumes must be given to Chief Christopher Lunn by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 29.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, a United States citizen, a high school graduate or possess a GED certification, a valid PA driver’s license, and be physically and mentally fit to perform all duties and job functions of a police officer. A positive attitude is also required.

Candidates must also have a diploma from a certified Act 120 school.

Candidates with one- to two-year work histories as a police officers are preferred.
