Newtown Police Now Using Crime-Fighting App
The Neighbors by Ring app lets police inform the community of real-time events and lets residents share videos and more with police.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Newtown Township have another tool for their crime fighting duties, and residents are encouraged to them help out.
Police said Thursday they are now participating in the Neighbors by Ring app.
For the unfamiliar, the app will allow the police to inform the community of real-time crime and safety events.

Additionally, residents can use the app to share something directly with police, even without Ring devices.
Anyone with any camera system can upload content to the Neighbors App, as well.

Residents are encouraged to download the app by texting "jointoday" to 555888.
As always, police said resident who see any criminal or suspicious activity to report it to police by calling 911.
