2 Workers Dead After Being Pulled From Delco Manhole
Two men who were pulled out of a manhole in Delaware County Thursday have been confirmed dead, authorities said.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Two men who were pulled out of a manhole in Delaware County Thursday have been confirmed dead, authorities confirmed.
The incident occurred shortly after 11 a.m. in Aldan on West Rively Avenue.
Four contractors were on the scene, Aldan Borough Police Chief Ken Coppola said in a press conference Thursday afternoon. Two men who were working nearby lost contact with the two on West Rively, and went to check on them.

That's when they saw them in the hole, about 30 feet down, unresponsive.
The men were pulled out by 12:11 p.m., authorities said, and were declared dead by first responders.

A cause of death remains unclear, and an investigation is ongoing.
Hazmat crews and OSHA also responded to the scene.
