Harrah’s Philadelphia Fined For Failing To Protect Assets

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board fined the casino in Chester for allowing funds to be stolen on two separate occasions.

CHESTER, PA — Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack in Chester has been fined by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board for failing to protect its assets, officials said.

According to the board, the casino's operator, Chester Downs and Marina LLC, was hit with a $22,500 fine.

The fine stems from two incidents in which money was stolen from the casino.

In one instance, a patron stole $955 of playing chips at a table game.

In the other, a patron stole $24,000 in cash when a cash drawer was left open.
