Pileggi Will Not Seek GOP Nomination in U.S. Senate Race
Sen. Dominic Pileggi has decided not to seek the Republican nomination to challenge Democrat Bob Casey's re-election bid for U.S. Senate.

Sen. Dominic Pileggi (R-9) has decided not to seek the Republican nomination to challenge Democrat Bob Casey's re-election bid for U.S. Senate, according to Pileggi's Facebook page.
"After a great deal of careful consideration, I have decided not to enter the race for the United States Senate. I will continue to focus on my service as Senate Majority Leader, working for positive change in state government. I thank those who encouraged me to run, and everyone who has offered kind words of support," Pileggi said on Facebook.
There had been talk of the Senate Majority Leader joining the other nine Republicans vying for the nomination to challenge Casey, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.
