Join us for an unforgettable evening at Helping Friendly Farm's picturesque setting for&nbsp;live bluegrass music by Mill Creek, stand-up comedy from Tim Conniff, farm-to-table cuisine by Dundaa’s Kitchen, and an open bar.Proceeds from the Boots &amp; Gowns Benefit will support the farm’s nature and sensory-based therapeutic programs for disabled and neurodivergent individuals and their families. Guests can enjoy lawn games, raffles, and for those who upgrade to VIP access, a pre-event meet-and-greet with the farm’s animals.

Carversville Day returns to the village square on Saturday, May 30, 2026, bringing a full lineup of music, food, contests, and family activities. Hosted by the Historic Carversville Society (HCS), the celebration will be held rain or shine, with free admission and parking available at the Carversville Church on Aquetong Road.
The event features several long‑standing community traditions. Bakers are invited to enter the Cookie Contest by submitting four dozen cookies of the same kind, with attendees voting for the People’s Choice winner. HCS members may participate in the annual Photo Contest, with entries due May 4. The popular pet parade returns as well, offering prizes for Best Costume and Best Trick.
Live music from The Traveling Soleburys will play throughout the afternoon, and the annual live auction will once again raise funds for HCS programs. Country Line Dancing, reintroduced last year to enthusiastic response, will also be part of the day’s festivities.
Food from the HCS Grill, children’s games, and a variety of local artisan vendors will be available across the village square. Visitors can also stop by the Historic Society Booth to learn about Carversville’s history and purchase village merchandise, with proceeds supporting preservation efforts, scholarships, and community events.
“Carversville Day is a wonderful day where our community comes together to celebrate our beautiful village, local residents, and fellow Solebury neighbors,” said committee member Laura Viehweger. HCS President Lori White added that the event reflects the dedication of volunteers who help bring it to life each year.
The village of Carversville traces its origins back to 1726, when early settlers built mills along the Paunacussing Creek. The village received its name in 1833 with the establishment of the post office, honoring the Carver family, early mill operators and residents. Today, Carversville Day continues that tradition of community gathering and local pride.

Trinity Episcopal Church Solebury

La Fiocco, the Bucks County Baroque ensemble, will conclude its 2025-2026 season with Heroes and Lovers, a musical celebration of history and myth. Special guest artist soprano Laura Heimes returns for a program that pays tribute to legendary heroes and lovers including Cleopatra, Hercules, Don Quixote, Arion, and Cloris-Flora.Selections include overtures, arias, and cantatas by George Frideric Handel, André Campra, Georg Phillip Telemann, Marc Antoine Charpentier, and Nicola Porpora.
La Fiocco’s musicians, who perform on period instruments, are Eve Friedman, baroque flute, Claire Smith Bermingham and Jeremy Rhizor, baroque violin, Graham Cohen, baroque viola, Donna Fournier, baroque cello, Jonathan Cable, violone, Theodore Cheek, theorbo, and Lewis R. Baratz, artistic director and harpsichord.
Performances will take place at Christ Congregation, 50 Walnut Lane, Princeton, New Jersey on Saturday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m, and at Trinity Episcopal Church, 6587 Upper York Road, Solebury, Pennsylvania on Sunday, June 7 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $25 general admission in advance online at lafiocco.org, or $30 at the door, cash or check only.
