Artists Win Awards At 93rd Juried Art Show At Phillips' Mill

NEW HOPE, PA — The Phillips’ Mill Community Association congratulates the 19 artists awarded more than $11,000 in prizes by the jurors of the 93rd Juried Art Show at Phillips’ Mill.

Awarded the Patrons’ Award for Painting this year was Joe Gyurcsak for "Just the Way it Was."

Winning the Patrons’ Award for Drawing, Pastel or Printmaking was Jane Ramsey for "Slipping Into Dark." Rounding out the patrons’ awards was Arthur Areyan, who won the Patrons’ Award for Sculpture for "The Last Breath Embrace."

Other awards presented recognized various media and subject matter. All are available for purchase and can be viewed in person at the Mill, open daily from 1 to 5 p.m. through October 30, as well as in the online gallery at https://phillipsmill.artspan.com.

• Award for a Work of Art that Recognizes, Depicts and Celebrates Diversity in America given by Mary and Herbert Flamer

• Samba in the Park by Chee Bravo, $500

• Award for First Time Exhibitor in Memory of Russell P. Gilsdorf given by Pat and Bruce Hamilton Squirrel's-Eye View by Karen Brodsky, $500

• Award for Sculpture in Memory of Shaun M. Miller from Eleanor B. Miller

• Bond Primary a.1 by Christiane Casella, $500

• Denise and Volker Oakey Award Honoring All of the Phillips’ Mill Art Show Committee Chairs from John Folinsbee to Mary Flamer

• Tidal Pool - Great Blue Heron by Robert Barrett, $500

• Award for a Realistic Bucks County Painting given by Maureen and Bill Harvey

• Country Road by James Fiorentino, $400

• Phillips’ Mill Community Association Sculpture Award

The 93rd Juried Art Show at Phillips’ Mill runs through October 30, open daily 1 to 5 p.m. at 2619 River Road (Route 32) just north of New Hope. The show will be open during road construction on Route 32. Follow signs and detour information.
