Bear Spotted In Solebury, Police Have Pics
The bear was spotted along the canal about five miles from New Hope.
SOLEBURY, PA — A bear was spotted Thursday on the canal near the Virginia Forrest Recreation Area, police announced. And they've got the pictures to prove it.
The Virginia Forrest Recreation Area is located about five miles north of New Hope.
"Please be cautious. If you see the bear, leave it alone and do not approach," police warned.

There have been several bear sightings in Solebury so far this season. In fact, bear sightings are not uncommon this time of year in Bucks County. In years past, sightings have been reported recently as far south in the county as Bensalem.
