More Bear Sightings Reported In Bucks County

If you see a bear, you should never approach it.

SOLEBURY TOWNSHIP, PA — As black bears emerge from hibernation, more sightings have been reported in Bucks County. Solebury Township Police report recent black bear sightings on Sugan and Creamery Road, as well as Stoney Hill Road between Aquetong and Sugan roads.

Last week in nearby Upper Makefield Township, police there received four reports of black bear sightings.

A bear was spotted on Eagle Road in the Jehrico Mountain area. A bear was also seen on Brownsburg Road East, heading towards the golf course.

Bear sightings are not uncommon this time of year in Bucks County, however. In years past, sightings have been reported recently as far south in the county as Bensalem.

If you see a bear, you should never approach it, experts say. Instead, report the sighting to authorities by calling 911.
