Bill's Honeybees, comprised of Lisa Canfield, Leanne Yerkes and Amy Raab, buzzed past 17 other teams to take the honor of New Hope and Solebury's best spellers at the 2019 Community Spelling Bee, held at the NH-S High School on Friday, October 4. The Bee, a fundraiser for The Free Library of New Hope & Solebury, is hosted by the library's Board of Trustees.

In the final swarm of the adult team competition, Bill's Honeybees correctly spelled "sacrilegious." In addition to bragging rights, the team members were given new dictionaries provided by Merriam-Webster.

Bee Yourself (Tamara Lesh, Beth Olanoff and Dan Weick) earned recognition for their costumes. Christopher Whitney, Jason Gersh and H. James Peter of the team Fount of All Knowledge , the 2018 Community Spelling Bee winner, received the award as the team that raised the most.
