A fire at Tirpok Cleaners in Flemington closed Rt. 202.

FLEMINGTON, NJ — A large fire in Flemington closed Rt. 202 South in and around the 202/31 circle Thursday night as crews from across the region battled the blaze. The fire broke out at Tirpok Cleaners on Reaville Avenue. It was upgraded from two to three alarms around 7:30 p.m. No injuries were reported.

The fire, which broke out in a building near the Boston Market off Rt. 31, does not appear to be suspicious, said the Hunterdon County Prosecutor the day after the blaze.

Eyewitnesses report the fire, which began at 7 p.m., also spread to the nearby liquor store, Central Wine Merchants.
