Disgruntled Employee Threatened Boss, Coworkers With Pick Axe: Cops
An employee of a River Road business was arrested after police say he threw a pick axe into his boss' car after a payroll dispute.

POINT PLEASANT, PA — A Philadelphia man who police say plunged a pick axe into his boss' car after a dispute over payroll has been charged with terroristic threats.
According to police in Plumstead Township, Thomas McCarty, 32, has been arrested in connection with the incident that unfolded Friday at a business in the Point Pleasant section of the township.
Officers responded to the 4900 block of River Road for a report of a threat.

According to police, McCarty and his employer had a dispute over payroll and McCarty responded by threatening his boss and other employees with a pick axe.
The situation escalated and McCarty plunged the pick axe into the front hood of his employer’s vehicle, police said. He fled before police arrived, but officers located him in the area and took him into custody.

He is charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief. He was arraigned, then remanded to the Bucks County Prison in lieu of bail, which was set at 10 percent of $50,000.
